ACS instructs officers to send UO notes to MD s of 3 Discoms

Jaipur: Due to nonavailability of electricity connections, the project of water connections to every household under Jal Jeevan Mission in the state is stuck. The PHED Department has appealed to the Electricity Department several times, but despite this, electricity connections are not being given. This is directly affecting the people of the state and they are suffering from thirst.

The matter was raised in the meeting of the PHED Department on Tuesday in which ACS PHED Subodh Agarwal expressed displeasure. He has instructed to send UO notes to the Managing Directors of three Discoms.

Due to lack of electricity connection in tubewells installed in many districts of the state, tubewells could not be commissioned and this has affected the speed of water connections.
