Jaipur: Additional Chief Secretary -Transport Department Sreya Guha on Wednesday directed officials to develop a comprehensive action plan to reduce road accidents.

In the first meeting of the Road Safety Fund Steering Committee, she instructed that, considering the budget allocations, every possible effort should be made to enhance road safety.

The proposals include deployment of 50 highway patrolling vehicles and 50 interceptors, basic life training for personnel at 200 selected police stations, necessary funding to these police stations for victim handling, establishing a skill lab at RUHS Medical College, Jaipur, integrating NHAI with the State Ambulance Service (108) etc.
