Accused sent to judicial custody
Jaipur: Fisheries Department Director (IAS) Premsukh Bishnoi and Additional Director Rakesh Dev, who were caught by the ACB team on Friday while taking a bribe of Rs 35,000 were presented in the court on Saturday which sent them to judicial custody. The ACB team arrested them from the office on Tonk Road.
ADG Hemant Priyadarshi said that both the officers were interrogated in the ACB office and searches were conducted. The ACB searched the Jaipur and Bikaner residence of the accused. Documents of plots found at Bapu Nagar residence in Jaipur and documents of two plots found in Jaipur and Bikaner. Besides six bank accounts, two cars, two bikes, 30 grams of gold, 80 grams of silver were found from Bikaner residence.
The ACB had received a complaint that the person had taken a tender for fish farming in Tonk. He asked for a licence in November, but it was not granted. He was asked to arrange for rupees one lakh after which he complained to the ACB. A trap was laid and the two were arrested.
