ASI Chutraram threatens trader for protection money, arrested

Jaipur/Barmer: An Assistant Sub Inspector posted in Gandhi Nagar police station, Jaipur has come on the radar of Anti Corruption Bureau in connection with a graft case involving Rs 20,000.

A bribe amount of Rs 13,000 recovered from the pocket of uniform of ASI Parmaram Budaniya but he managed to escape during the ACB action.

He had taken Rs 5,000 in advance and kept Rs 13,000 out of the remaining amount of Rs 15,000 in pocket.

In another action, ACB team arrested an assistant sub inspector of Barmer police red handed while accepting a bribe of rupees five thousand.

Accused cop was arrested for threatening a trader for giving him monthly protection money. Accused has been identified as Chutraram.

ACB official said that on March 25, Man Singh Rajpurohit, a resident of Saran village complained and after verifying the complaint, they arrested accused.
