ACB nabs PHED JEn, 1 more with Rs 21K bribe

Jaipur: The ACB’s Jaipur CityIII unit on Monday nabbed Mohit Kumar Singhal, Junior Engineer in PHED and Ravindra Singh Rathore, Junior Assistant PHED while taking a bribe of Rs 21,000 from the complainant. Both the accused are posted in the Office of Assistant Engineer Subdivision-II, North Jaipur.

ADG ACB Hemant Priyadarshy said that a complaint was received at the Jaipur City-III unit of the bureau that the accused were seeking Rs 22,000 bribe in lieu of installing water connection on his flat.

The complaint was verified under the supervision of DIG Dr Ravi and ASP Himanshu. The trap was carried out by a team led by DSP Suresh Kumar Swamy and the accused were caught redhanded.
