ABVP denies link with accused, stages protest, demands action

Jodhpur/Jaipur: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad members protested outside the JNVU VC office and burnt the effigy of VC and demanded severe punishment for the gangrape accused. The protestors said that the ABVP has been demanding from the university to ensure the safety of students for a long time, but despite this, the university administration is not serious about it.

Student leader Lokendra Singh told media that he has no acquaintance with the accused and they are also not ABVP workers and he never had any phone conversation with the accused. “If the police want, they can extract his call details. It is unfair to drag my name into the matter in a hurry,” he said.

All the 3 accused had come to campaign in support of student leader, Lokendra Singh. Singh is contesting for ticket from ABVP. The arrangements for their stay were made in Raikabagh by Raj Singh.
