ABG test possible at SMS, admin acts after FI reports

Jaipur: Now people will not have to wander for the Arterial Blood Gas analysis (ABG) test. After First India brought forth the ground reality at SMS hospital on Monday, efforts started for the test in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within just six hours.

Despite facilities available in the Intensive Care Unit, ABG tests were not being done. Family members had to wander around with samples for three months.

ACS Shubhra Singh sought a report from the SMS Medical College administration regarding the issue. Soon after, they addressed the problem of cartridges and started conducting the tests. SMS Medical College Principal Dr Rajeev Bagrahatta said that due to cartridge issues, tests were not being conducted. He said that the ABG test will be done in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) only.
