AAP workers stopped on way to gherao CBI office
Jaipur: Aam Aadmi Party workers held a protest over Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s CBI questioning in Delhi on Sunday in connection with alleged liquor scam. The party workers led by state president Naveen Paliwal took out a protest march to gherao CBI office here but they were stopped by police at Narayan Singh Circle, where they protested and blocked Tonk road for some time.
Paliwal said that attempts were being made by BJP to weaken APP. He said that the BJP is worried due to the increasing popularity of Arvind Kejriwal.
“AAP has got the national party status and Arvind Kejriwal’s popularity is continuously increasing, due to which the BJP is making repeated attempts to weaken our party,” he said.He accused the central government of misusing government agencies like CBI and ED to threaten and suppress the voice of opponents.
Paliwal said that the party workers will continue their protest in support of Kejriwal.
