7kg gold worth crores of rupees seized in Raj

Jaipur/Jodhpur: In two separate cases 7 Kg gold was seized by custom officials in the state on Sunday. At Jaipur Airport, officials caught a passenger carrying about 1 kg gold which was concealed in paste form. The passenger had arrived from Muscat. The value of this gold is said to be about Rs 64.87 lakh. In another case, Jodhpur customs dept seized about 6 kgs 232 gms of gold which was being smuggled through Vivek Express. Two passengers were carrying them hiding in their private parts. This gold worth Rs 4.71 crore was to be supplied across Rajasthan.
