7 UNFRUITFUL YEARS OF JAIPUR METRO

Jaipur: The Jaipur Metro will complete seven years on June 3 but this journey has not been special. Due to the decreasing number of passengers, there is a significant gap between the expenditure and the revenue of the metro.

The service was first started on June 3, 2015 between Chandpole to Mansarovar. After this, in the year 2020, its route was extended to Badi Chaupar. Coming to the figures of the last 5 years, there has been a huge gap between expenditure and revenue due to low passenger load month after month.

LACK OF EXPANSION OF ROUTES The reason for the low passenger load in the metro is due to the lack of expansion of the route and its lack of connectivity to other places. However, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced in the budget to increase the route from both sides of the metro.
