42 IRS officers get promotion gift ahead of New Year

Jaipur: The year 2024 is going to be auspicious for 42 officers of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) serving in the Income Tax Department. The Central Board of Direct Taxes-CBDT issued an order on Thursday night and decided to promote 42 officers working on the post of Additional Commissioner to the post of Commissioner of Income Tax. It is being told that this promotion has been done for panel year 2024. The promotion will be effective from Jan 1, 2024. According to order issued by CBDT, out of most officers who have been promoted, one officer is from 2003 batch, 7 officers are from 2005 batch and remaining 34 are from 2006 batch.

Among the officers who have been promoted to post of I-T Commissioner, there are 2 officers who have served in Rajasthan. Among these are, Bhanwar S Ratnu (worked in Jaipur office) and Raghuveer Madnappa (worked in Udaipur Investigation Branch).
