4 accused in police remand till July 12

Jaipur: Teams from NIA and ATS on Saturday presented 4 men arrested in Udaipur tailor’s murder case before a court here from where they were remanded to 10-day police remand for further questioning till July 12. The accused Riaz and Ghouse and their accomplices Asif and Mohseen were brought from Ajmer Jail to Jaipur. Advocates beat up the accused while leaving court, threw empty bottles, tore clothes & demanded to hang them. NIA took them to Delhi for further probe.

New Delhi (PTI): The Congress on Saturday alleged that one of the main accused in the brutal killing of a tailor in Udaipur is a “BJP member” and asked whether the Centre had moved quickly to transfer the case to the NIA due to this reason.

Addressing a press conference at the Congress headquarters here, party’s media department head Pawan Khera said a very sensational disclosure has been made by a media group in connection with the Udaipur incident which pointed to the BJP links with Riaz Akhtari.

Some reports have also referred to the accused as Riaz Akhtari.
“The killer of Kanhaiya Lal, Riaz Akhtari is a member of the BJP,” Khera said in a tweet after the press conference.
