33 liquor shops in Jpr taken by Punjab businessman!
Jaipur: Pink city, which has its identity as small Kashi in the country, is being looked down these days due to flourishing wine culture. A liquor businessman from Punjab has taken 33 liquor shops in Jaipur and is bent on making the capital a liquor hub. Despite outstanding guarantee dues of several crores, Excise Department is shying away from taking any action.
Over rate and overtime rules are being openly breached at the liquor shops of Punjab Wines. The surprising element is that liquor shops were issued to Punjab Wines without proper verification and validation of their bank status. Due to this neglect of Excise Inspectors, if this group leaves shop in middle of the year, then Excise Department may have to bear loss of crores. In 2018 also, a group of Delhi had run away leaving arrears in the same way.
