30,000 ROUSING CROWD WELCOME GEHLOT!

Jaipur: After a long wait of three years, the Indian Premier League (IPL) returned to Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Stadium on Wednesday when hosts and table-toppers Rajasthan Royals took on second-placed Lucknow Super Giants. The Giants defeated Royals by 10 runs.

To mark the return of the popular cricket league, special arrangements were made in the stadium for the spectators. The capacity of the stadium is about 22,000 spectators. For the first time, spectators were able to watch the players without nets between the stands and the ground. For this, the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) had installed special transparent glasses in place of the nets in stadium. Also, 2 new seating boxes were put up in stadium.
