3% DA hike for Raj govt employees, pensioners effective from July 2024
Jaipur: In a festive boost for state employees and pensioners, the Rajasthan government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) from 50% to 53%.
The Finance Department issued an order confirming the hike, which will benefit approximately 1.54 million government employees and pensioners. While the increased DA will be effective from July 1, 2024, the amount for the period from July 1 to October 31 will be credited to the General Provident Fund (GPF).
Cash payments reflecting the hike will start on November 1 and will be included in the December salary.
Employee leaders have also called for a hike in House Rent Allowance (HRA) due to the increased Dearness Allowance, creating a wave of happiness among government staff.
There are 1 lakh 38 thousand 1 gazetted officers and 8 lakh 42 thousand 617 non-gazetted government employees.
