2.5L disabled voters to cast ballots at 200 special booths

Jaipur: In order to include the deprived sections, the Election Department has not only focused on the disabled voters but has also created booths run by them. Now, more than 2.5 lakh disabled voters can exercise their voting rights in the first phase. The department has made 200 booths which will be operated by the disabled.

There has been a significant increase in the number of disabled voters. There are 2 lakh 51,250 disabled voters in the state for the first phase. These include 1 lakh 69,184 men, 82,063 women and three transgender voters. Churu has the maximum number of 25,172 disabled voters in which 16,414 are male and 8,758 female voters. Jaipur has the least number of disabled voters at 12,487. Bikaner has the least number of disabled women voters at 5,000.
