24x4 flight ops; NOTAM on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday

Jaipur: Jaipur International Airport will now see the operation of flights round the clock, four days a week. Under this new change, the runway will now be closed only for three days a week due to maintenance reasons.

It is to be noted that till now flights were operating from Jaipur airport round the clock only on Sundays. Apart from this, runway NOTAM was being kept at the airport for six consecutive days from Monday to Saturday.

Under this, the runway is kept closed for two hours from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm every day from Monday to Saturday. The runway maintenance work is done over a period of two hours, however, NOTAM will be for only three days. In this way, round-the-clock flight operations will be done four days a week. Sources related to Jaipur airport state that this initiative will provide relief to the airlines.

Many times there was a problem of NOTAM break for late flights, which will not happen now. At the same time, airlines will also be able to start new flights during the NOTAM period.
