22 minors, including 8 rape accused, flee juvenile home

Jaipur: Twenty-two minors escaped from Jaipur’s juvenile home by breaking a window on Monday. Of these, a case of rape is on against eight boys, attempt to murder against 13 boys and a case of murder has been registered against one.

Superintendent of juvenile home, Manoj Gehlot, caretaker Indramal have been suspended after primary probe. Social Justice Director Jagjit Singh Monga issued orders.

The incident is of a juvenile home in Sethi Colony. Transport Nagar police station said that between 4 & 5 in the morning, the minors escaped by cutting the net. The guards informed the police after which they reached the spot and took the records of minor children from the juvenile home. Police have yet not received any formal complaint from the juvenile home. According to police, this is the first time that so many minors have escaped together. All of them had been there for about two years.
