20-year-old raped on pretext of marriage

Jaipur: A case of befriending a girl online and raping her on the pretext of marrying has come to light in the Vidyadhar Nagar area. The victim has registered a case against the accused.

As per the victim the accused has now blocked her number and is refusing to marry her. According to the police, a 20-year-old girl registered a case at the police station.

It is reported that six months ago a person named Rashid befriended her on Instagram and after some time proposed to her for marriage, to which she agreed. Once Rashid took her to a cafe behind National Handloom located in Vidyadhar Nagar and raped her on the pretext of marriage. The police is investigating the matter.
