2 key tourism projects receive Centre’s nod
Jaipur: Two key projects related to tourism sector received approval under the Union Tourism Ministry’s Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme.
With a combined estimated investment of Rs 70 crore each, Bundi and Jodhpur are set to undergo transformative changes.
In Bundi, Rs 13.21 crore has been allocated for the renovation of the Keshoraipatan temple and ghats, along with other essential improvements. Additionally, the Bundi Art Center will receive Rs 13.55 crore for the renovation and development of Chitrashala, enhancing the cultural experience for visitors.
Jodhpur, on the other hand, will witness a boost in heritage tourism with the Marwar Heritage Art Center in Umaid Udyan receiving Rs 11.41 crore.
The iconic Heritage Street Development project around Ghantaghar is also in the pipeline, with the Ministry of Tourism appointing a consultant to prepare the detailed project report. These initiatives coupled with the Tourism department’s other projects and initiatives show promise to elevate Rajasthan’s tourism landscape, offering visitors enriched cultural experiences and revamped historical sites.
