17 IAS officers shifted: Gaurav Goyal is now Secretary to Governor Mishra
Jaipur: On Thursday evening, the State government shuffled 17 IAS officers while also appointing a new Secretary to the Governor. Competent and brilliant officer Gaurav Goyal will now serve as Secretary to the Governor.
Subir Kumar wanted to shift from Raj Bhavan and for this, Subir Kumar had requested the Governor as well. On the other hand, the Governor had seen the work of Gaurav Goyal as Constitution Park was built in Raj Bhavan under the supervision of Gaurav during his tenure as JDC. Governor Kalraj Mishra was impressed by Goyal’s work and when Subir Kumar requested to shift from Raj Bhavan, so the Governor himself put forward the name of Gaurav Goyal. Notably, the post of Secretary to Governor is very important because Raj Bhavan plays a role in all the important works of the government.
Moreover, IAS Anupama Jorwal has also got a major responsibility as MD of RTDC whereas IAS Neha Giri was given the responsibility of Medical Services Corporation Limited as MD. In Giri’s place, now IAS Mukul Sharma will take charge. Mukul was earlier transferred to the post of Salumber Collector but he refused to join the post of Salumber Collector and then that transfer was cancelled.
Young IAS Suresh Ola has been given the responsibility of DLB Director. Interestingly, in the previous list, he had got the additional charge of DLB Director. But in the list that came on Thursday, he has been given the responsibility of DLB permanently and the Sanskrit education department has been withdrawn from Ola.
Notably, there are 2 IAS officers, who have been transferred for the second time in 21 days. In the list that came on January 10, Prithviraj was removed from agriculture and appointed as Principal Secretary in the Sports Department. But after 21 days, he was removed from the Sports and transferred to Labour Dept. Similarly, Gaurav Goyal was also appointed to the Administrative Reforms Department on January 10.
Through the list, 17 IAS officers have been transferred while 3 officers have been given additional charges.
Subir Kumar has been appointed Principal Secretary, Higher and Technical Education, while Bhawani Singh Detha is Principal Secretary, Planning-Statistics Dept. IAS Vikas S. Bhale is now Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Gopalan; while Dr Prithviraj has been appointed as Secretary, Labour and ESI Department. PC Kishan is made Secretary, Skills and Entrepreneurship, Employment Department. Vijaypal Singh has been appointed as Commissioner in the Sanskrit Education Department, Rashmi Gupta is now Secretary, Home Department, Vishram Meena as Director-ex-officio, Special Secretary, Watershed Development and Soil Conservation Department.
Meanwhile, IAS Anupama Jorwal has been appointed as Managing Director of RTDC, IAS Mukul Sharma as Joint Secretary, Industries and Commerce, IAS Suresh Kumar Ola as Director and ex-officio Joint Secretary, Local Governance, IAS Priyanka Goswami is Chief Executive Officer, State Health Insurance Agency, IAS Kishore Kumar is Director, Civil Aviation and Deputy Chief Protocol Officer, GAD, IAS Dr Mahendra Khadgawat is Director, State Insurance and Provident Fund Department, IAS Girdhar is Joint Secretary, Energy Department; IAS Bhawani Singh Detha gets the Additional charge of Youth Affairs and Sports Department, IAS Rajan Vishal gets the additional charge of Administrative Reforms and Coordination and IAS Mukul Sharma has been given the additional charge of MD of RAJSICO, Jaipur.
