1,300 new buses reflect CM’s resolve for better public transport: Bairwa
Jaipur: On Wednesday, Rajasthan Roadways witnessed a long-awaited revival with the addition of 5 new buses to its fleet, ceremoniously flagged off by Deputy Chief Minister Dr Prem Chand Bairwa after a Puja ceremony. Highlighting the government’s commitment to public transport, Dr Bairwa announced plans for 1,300 new buses and 1650 personnel, aimed at enhancing services neglected in previous years.
Praising the initiative, Roadways CMD, Sreya Guha highlighted new buses’ BS-6 compliance and safety upgrades like VTS (Vehicle Tracking System) and panic buttons, signaling a turnaround in bus acquisitions under her proactive leadership.
