4 crushed to death by Thar Jeep, 2 injured

Jaipur: Four members of a family were killed and two people were injured when a speeding jeep hit them while they were standing on the roadside in the Kotkhawada area of Jaipur, police said. Police informed the deceased has been identified as Sunita, her son Golu, brother-in-law Sitaram and her wife Anita.

“The victims had returned from Haridwar after performing the last rites of Sunita’s husband Madan and were waiting to be picked up by a relative near Doi Ki Dhani under the Kotkhawada PS area. They were run over by a speeding Thar Jeep which killed Sunita, Golu, and Sitaram on the spot,” police said.

1 DIES, 23 INJURED AS BUS OVERTURNS IN J&K

Jaipur: A bus full of people from Rajasthan overturned late Sunday evening in Jammu and Kashmir. According to Jammu ADGP Mukesh Singh, a woman died in the accident. At the same time, 23 people have been injured, of which 13 belong to Jaipur. The accident took place in Muri area of Reasi district. All the passengers were returning after visiting Mata Vaishno Devi temple.

2 DIE WHILE SAVING COW FROM A CAR IN PALI

Pali: A private car met with an accident near Nimaj area on slope of Samokhi. The speedy car moving towards Jodhpur from Jaipur overturned due to a stray animal coming in front of the car. Car driver Dilip Singh, resident of Jhunjhunu and passenger Mona, resident of West Bengal, died in the accident. One person was seriously injured, who was referred to Jodhpur after first aid.

MINISTER BHAJAN LAL JATAV’S GUARD RUN OVER BY AN UNIDENTIFIED VEHICLE IN UCCHAIN, DIES

Bharatpur: Tej SIngh, an RAC head constable, posted at the residence of PWD Minister Bhajan Lal Jatav as a guard, was killed on Sunday after being hit by an unidentifi ed vehicle in Uccchain of Bharatpur. “The incident took place between Kaimasi and Behrarekhpura when his motorcycle was hit by an unidentifi ed vehicle,” police informed. “Chairman of Dev Narayan Board Joginder Awana met the victim’s family members and assured all possible help,” sources said.

TWO KILLED, THREE INJURED AS CAR RAMS SHOP IN BHILWARA

Bhilwara: Two people were killed and three were grievously injured after a speeding car rammed into a shop in Shahpura police station area of Bhilwara. The car broke the wall of the shop. Police Station Officer Rajkumar Nayak said that Rajveer (30) from Bhilwara died on the spot. While brotherin-law Dhanraj (24) from Shahpura died on the way to the hospital.

TRACTOR TROLLEY TURNS TURTLE AS GEAR STUCK, 3 KILLED

Chittorgarh: Three people, including 2 women, were killed and several others injured when the tractor trolley they were travelling in overturned in Chittorgarh district, police said Sunday. The accident occurred in the Bharsoda area late on Saturday. The passengers were returning to the Ghoda Kheda village after attending an event at Bhiyana, they said. The injured admitted to the nearest hospital.
