13 kg lump removed from woman’s breast

Jaipur: Doctors at the SMS Hospital gave a new life to an unmarried woman by removing a huge lump of 13kg from her right breast. Superintendent Dr Achal Sharma said that Dholpur resident patient Sania (name changed) had a big lump in her right breast for about six months.

The patient went to different hospitals but owing to the size of the lump, she was advised to go to the SMS Hospital. The patient was admitted to Unit 3 of the Surgery Department in SMS Hospital and after doing all the necessary tests, considering the complexity of the disease and after consultation with the plastic surgery department, the patient was operated by Dr Rajendra Bugalia, Dr BL Yadav, Dr Praveen Joshi, Plastic Surgeon Dr Amit Sharma under the direction of Dr Prabha Om on December 19. Resident doctors Dr Darshan, Dr Sandeep and Dr Jagdish also assisted. Other doctors who assisted are Dr Sunil Chauhan, Dr Indu Verma, Dr Rajneesh Singhal and nursing staff Jaya Chandani.
