12 NEPALESE WOMEN BEING TRAFFICKED, RESCUED IN JPR

Jaipur: The police on Friday rescued 12 Nepalese women who were being trafficked to Ethiopia through a flight from the airport. Police informed based on information from the Nepal embassy, the women were questioned and rescued from Jaipur International Airport.

“All the girls belong to different districts of Nepal. They had arrived in Delhi from Nepal and later came to Jaipur. They had been lured with jobs in foreign countries by accused. All of them arrived at the airport in different taxis and were about to depart but they were caught by the police,” said Sub-Inspector Digpal Singh, posted at Airport Police Station.

“The women have been kept in Mahila Niketan and information is being sought. Now, they will be sent back to Nepal.” police added.
