10.05 MT lead Ingots caught after tip-off

Jaipur: The anti-evasion wing of the Central Goods and Services Tax Department intercepted a truck transporting 10.05 tonnes of lead ingots from Jodhpur to a unit in the RIICO Kaladera Industrial Area in Jaipur. Following a tip-off, the team intercepted the truck and discovered that the transported goods lacked the mandatory e-way bill and sufficient documents. The team seized the goods and parked the truck at the CGST headquarters in Jaipur. Official sources indicate that the wing had received intelligence about the transportation of unbilled goods in a specific truck coming from Jodhpur to Jaipur.
