100 beggars to be employed every month: Collector
Jaipur: The district administration is cooperating to provide employment opportunities to the beggars rescued from beggarhood, said District Collector Prakash Rajpurohit while giving instructions to provide employment to 100 rescued beggars every month.
Additional District Collector (South) Mohammad Abubakr said that a total of 390 beggars have been rescued in Jaipur district under the campaign.
In the next phase of the campaign, the district administration will provide regular employment to the rescued beggars after skill training at Gaushalas, Temple Management Committee and other work places. So far 22 rescued beggars have been provided employment.
Under the campaign, four rehabilitation centres have been identified for rescued beggars. Officers and personnel have been restricted for necessary arrangements, security related assistance and inspection at the centres. Along with this, 4 voluntary organisations have been selected by the district level committee constituted under the chairmanship of the collector for the successful operation of these centres.
