10 Chital Deers herded in Nahargarh Sanctuary

Jaipur: In a big move towards increasing the prey base in Nahargarh Sanctuary, the Forest Department has released 10 chitals (spotted deer or axis deer) from Ashok Vihar in Nahargarh Sanctuary. On the instructions of PCCF and CWLW Arindam Tomar, the chitals were shifted to Sanctuary under the supervision of Deputy Conservator of Forests, Kapil Chandrawal and IFS P Bala Murugan. Earlier on August 17, 19 chitals and on August 22, 14 chital deers were released.

The release of the chitals was done in the Beed Papad area. During this, ACF Raghuveer Meena, Dr Ashok Tanwar, Ranger Rajendra Singh Jakhar, Forester Gaurav Rathi, Rajaram Meena, Rajkishore Yogi, Rajendra Singh were present. There are more than 15 Leopard variances in Nahargarh Sanctuary
