Sanjay Nishad expresses confidence in BJP winning J&K polls; criticises US temple vandalism

Lucknow: UP Minister and National President of Nishad Party, Sanjay Kumar Nishad, speaking to ANI, expressed confidence in winning Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls.
'We are confident that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will vote for the BJP with a full majority. In the past, leaders used to have full security and a bulletproof security system to visit Jammu and Kashmir. However, things have changed after the implementation of Article 370 due to the rigorous efforts of the government," he said.
Speaking on the issue of Rahul Gandhi promising 'full statehood' to people of Jammu and Kashmir, Nishad slammed him for changing the strategy.
"Some time back he was talking about removing Article 370 from state; how come his pitch changed now?', he said.
Nishad also strongly condemned the recent violent attacks on two Hindu temples in the USA. The first attack occurred in New York on September 17, and the second took place at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in the Sacramento area of California.
"I condemned the incident that happened in US's hindu temple; we want to let hindus live peacefully. And in our India too, people from all over the world are living and doing business. I criticise the raising such slogans as an insult to our country."
On Thursday, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in the Sacramento area of California was desecrated with anti-Hindu messages on the night of September 25, less than 10 days after a similar act of vandalism took place at the BAPS Mandir in New York.
The messages included phrases such as "Hindus go back," prompting concerns among the local Hindu community and in response, the community had expressed their commitment to standing united against hate.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, sheriff deputies responded to the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Mather, near Rancho Cordova, where the graffiti was discovered. Deputies also said that vandals had also cut water lines at the property.
