RAUK celebrates Rajasthani culture with special guests
London: The ‘London Jeeman-2024’ organised by the Rajasthan Association UK (RAUK) in London drew nearly 1,500 migrant Rajasthanis, featuring special guests including Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agarwal, Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar from the erstwhile royal family of Mewar, and Pawan Arora, CEO and Managing Editor of First India News.
The event celebrated Rajasthani culture and community spirit. During the event, all three special guests were honoured for their contributions. Also present were Overseas BJP President KS Shekhawat, Shishir Bajoria, head of SK Bajoria Group; and Harendra Jodha, the programme’s organizer, along with his team. Participants enjoyed traditional Rajasthani cuisine, including Dal-Baati and Churma, while children and women from Rajasthani families presented colourful performances of Rajasthani folk songs.
Anil Agarwal described himself as a nomad, who established his business in London after years of hard work in various Indian cities, sharing his appreciation for the event. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar expressed solidarity with the Rajasthani diaspora, offering Mewar’s support to the community.
Pawan Arora introduced the First India Plus OTT platform, connecting Rajasthan with the Rajasthani diaspora in London, promising coverage of migrant Rajasthani events. on the platform. He praised the diaspora for preserving Rajasthan’s culture & traditions. Attendees appreciated the platform as a vital link for cultural exchange & community engagement.
