PM Modi’s Diplomatic DOUBLEHEADER!
New Delhi/Jakarta: Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed for Jakarta in Indonesia at the invitation of HE Joko Widodo to participate in the ASEAN related meetings on Wednesday evening. Prime Minister Modi has a packed schedule ahead of the G20 summit to be held in New Delhi as he would attend the 20th ASEAN-India Summit and 18th East Asia Summit in Jakarta today before returning home later in the evening for key bilateral talks with the leaders of three countries on September 8, officials said.
Prior to his departure, PM Modi said, ‘I look forward to discussing with ASEAN leaders future contours of our partnership, which has now entered its 4th decade. It provides a useful opportunity to deliberate on issues like including food and energy security, environment, health, and digital transformation. I warmly recall my visit to Indonesia for G-20 Summit in Bali last year.’
