Alwar’s Anju gets ‘flat worth Rs 40 lakh and other gifts’ in Pakistan

Jaipur: Anju Rafael, a mother of two who went to Pakistan from Bhiwadi in Alwar of Rajasthan and reportedly married her Facebook friend Nasrullah in a Muslim tradition there, has now reportedly got a flat worth Rs 40 lakh. According to the media reports in Pakistan and a video shared on social media, a businessman in Pakistan has gifted the flat to Anju. She changed her name to Fatima.

The video of a man handing over some documents to Anju and others giving her gifts in the presence of Nasrullah and his family members has gone viral. The couple has, however, so far not openly accepted their marriage but the authorities in Dir region of Pakistan have claimed the nikah ceremony happened at the district courts in Upper Dir.

It is reported that Anju has converted to Islam is now known as Fatima. She is scheduled to return to India on August 20 when her visa expires.
