YOUTH PLAYING A HUGE ROLE IN DEVELOPMENT OF RAJASTHAN: GEHLOT

Jaipur: A big platform has been given in Jaipur for the youth of Rajasthan who want to make a mark in the field of startup and information technology. Rajasthan Digifest was started from Friday by the Department of Information Technology and Communications at Birla Auditorium, Jaipur. In this Digifest, renowned startup entrepreneurs of the country will guide the youth. On the very first day of Digifest, thousands of youths turned up to take part in it. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also reached Digifest to encourage the youth and see the picture of digital Rajasthan. Gehlot said that the enthusiasm of the youth is playing an important role in the progress of the state and the next budget of the state will also be dedicated to the youth and students. He also appealed to the youth and students to give suggestions and said those suggestions will be included in the budget announcements.

Gehlot addressed the ‘Digifest’ program at Birla Auditorium in Jaipur and said that in the last budget of Rajasthan, a provision of three percent budget was made for the Information Technology (IT) sector and the upcoming budget of Rajasthan will be dedicated to youth and students. This fest will also be a big platform for employment, because many companies will work on the ideas found here and will also give an opportunity to the youth to join it. The fest will also see the founders of 12 unicorn startups share their success stories with everyone. Many sessions, workshops, exhibitions are being organized in the fest. The youth of Rajasthan working on startup will put forward the business model through startup and some selected youth will also get funding.

Gehlot was to attend the concluding session on Saturday, but seeing the enthusiasm of the younger generation, he could not stop himself and suddenly reached the Digifest on the first day itself on Friday. During this, Gehlot saw various models kept for showcase in Digifest and inquired about them. While addressing the youth on this occasion, he said that youth can bring change in any field. The state government is also taking important decisions for the bright future and encouragement of the youth. Gehlot said that our vision is of ‘Technology for All’ and stressed that the state government is making every effort for this. “Rajeev Gandhi had become the PM of the country at the age of just 40 years. It was through him that the computer revolution was brought for the first time for the bright future of the country. Today, the effect of the same is being seen in the enthusiasm of the youth, dedication towards work and innovations. So far 1.30 lakh govt jobs have been given by the state govt. Recruitment to around 1 lakh posts are under process,” Gehlot said.
