Yogeshwar Mishra touted to be Vns commissioner?

Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, out of 18 divisions of 75 districts of the state, 15 divisions have Director IAS officers as commissioners, whereas only 3 divisions are occupied by IAS officers. 

Out of that, IAS Dinesh Kumar Singh, commissioner of Chitrakoot division and Dr. Ajay Shakar Pandey, commissioner of Jhansi division, are retiring in July 2022. That’s why there is a discussion in the corridors of the bureaucracy that it may be that IAS Yogeshwar Ram Mishra, who has been the DM of Varanasi, may be appointed as Commissioner of Varanasi.

Notably, Director IAS officers have the responsibility of a very large circle which includes  Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Devipatan (Gonda), Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Moradabad, Prayagraj, Saharanpur, Varanasi.
