Will Congress follow Prashant Kishor’s advice?

New Delhi: Election strategist Prashant Kishor had said many good things in his presentation to the Congress, in which one good thing was that there should be continuity in the programmes of the party. He had said that the party should come out on the road after fixing the programme and try to convert its protest into mass protest. Political movements do not arise by merely tweeting over issues every now and then. Prashant Kishor reiterated many times outside that Congress and other opposition parties are not able to create any mass movement. There are many problems like inflation, unemployment, poverty and people are also angry about them, but Congress is not able to give voice to the displeasure of the people.

Take for example the coronavirus epidemic. Thousands died due to lack of oxygen, medicine and treatment during the pandemic. Despite the financial crisis in front of millions of people, the BJP got a big victory in the elections held after Covid. The reason for this is that Congress or other opposition parties could not organise any movement regarding the difficulties faced by the people during the time of the epidemic. Everyone sat in the house on the pretext of Covid and kept tweeting from there.

As the farmers raised an issue and stood on it for a year, then the common people of the country and the government also took notice and the government accepted their point and withdrew the law. Therefore, consistency is most important for the success of any agenda or issue. If the Congress party decides any program for the next two years in Udaipur’s Chintan Shivir, then first of all it should ensure that that programme will run continuously. Initially, it may not get success, but due to continuous running of the programme, people’s attention will eventually turn on the party and they will notice what the party says.
