What was the reason behind Vijay Deverakonda’s simple look at Liger’s trailer launch?

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Vijay Deverakonda is an excellent actor who has delivered some massive hits across the Indian film industry. The superstar who made a name for himself within just a few releases will now be seen in Dharma’s pan-India film, ‘Liger’ alongside Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishnan and Mike Tyson. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film is already garnering huge praise after the makers released the trailer. However, recently when the cast and crew gathered together in Mumbai for a massive trailer launch event, all the eyeballs were grabbed by the simplicity of Vijay’s dressing style.

The actor wore a simple black t-shirt with the word ‘THE’ printed on it, cargo pants and chappals on his feet. He looked very basic in front of the sexily dressed Ananya Panday who amazed in a black thigh-high slit dress. Ranveer Singh also complimented him on his simplicity as he stated that Vijay is the only actor to pull off chappals after John Abraham.

Now, Vijay’s stylist, Harmann Kaur said that the actor deliberately chose to wear something that feels close to his character in the film. He wanted to go for an underdog look as he himself chose the chappals he wanted to wear, he picked the t-shirt and pants to complete the look that he thought would be the closest to his character.

Vijay Deverakonda received immense love after the trailer Liger was released recently. The actor also expressed his gratitude when he said, “This mental mass of fans is driving me crazy. I don’t know what to say. I’m just speechless. It’s been two years since my last film was released. And it was a flop. This kind of reception for the trailer is unbelievable. I… I… love you all (in Liger style). I’m dedicating this movie to you.”
