WE WILL FIGHT....PERSEVERE...WIN: CM GEHLOT

New Delhi: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, on Wednesday, again targeted the Center and BJP on the issue of ED questioning Rahul Gandhi and not allowing Congress leaders to go to the party office in Delhi. Gehlot said that this is happening for the first time that the entry of our leaders in the Congress headquarters has been stopped. “How are they getting so much courage that they are not allowing us and our leaders to enter the headquarters. This effort will cost them dearly,” a visibly miffed Gehlot said.

“I do not know who is guiding the Delhi Police Commissioner to get the entry closed at the Congress headquarters. A proper answer will be given to this,” he said while interacting with the media at the National Headquarters of Congress in Delhi.

Gehlot said, “I have not seen such a time in 42 years of my political career. These 8 years of the country will be written in the form of a black chapter. Our general secretary cannot enter AICC. Never in the history of the country was anyone stopped from entering the office of any political party. Our leaders are coming to Delhi and are being arrested on the way. We sought an appointment with CBI, CBDT, ED chiefs, but did not give an appointment. RSS and BJP people are looting the country and corruption has increased 10 times. In Congress rule, BJP leaders used to ask for time from collectors, commissioners to senior officers, and they used to get time.

But now a days, no one is ready to meet. If needed further, we will ask for an appointment with the PM, President and speak our mind.”

The Rajasthan Chief Minister questioned the current environment in the nation and claimed that ED notices have been given only to harass. “Notices are being given to target. 90 crore rupees were given in 100 installments to revive the National Herald newspaper. No one can take 1 rupee. Where then did money laundering come into scene? Indira Gandhi was put in jail under the pressure of these people when Moraji Desai was the Home Minister. At that time we all went to jail in Jail Bharo Andolan. BJP will have to face their actions. The public has understood their approach. They are destroying democracy. Who will be safe when the rule of law ends,” he said.

Gehlot said that today there has been tension in the street in the city and even in villages of the nation. “Don’t know when a spark would ignite a fire on the issues like Hindu-Muslim divide. Everyone is scared about what will happen tomorrow. There is so much fear in the country. 13 opposition parties have demanded from the Prime Minister that he should address the country. I pray to PM Modi with folded hands that you address the nation and condemn the violence. What is the hesitation of Modi-Shah in doing this much,” Gehlot asked.

The Rajasthan CM claimed that the central government is getting upset as to why the Congress party is not bowing down despite torturing their leader Rahul Gandhi. “The Modi government is probably forgetting that the Congress never bowed down to the British and the elements threatening the unity of the country. Congress leaders and workers went ahead and sacrificed for the country and democracy but did not learn to bow down. Congress will stand firmly in front of this dictatorial rule. The countrymen have agreed that Rahul Gandhi is the only one who is fighting against PM Modi and his government. Now all the people writing articles have started naming Rahul stressing that one person, whose name is Rahul Gandhi, is fighting continuously. Rahul Gandhi has been made a targeted. There was no case, as it is a clear cut dealing. Yet notice was given,” he said, and added further, “I strongly condemn the assault on journalists by the police at the Congress Headquarters. The Congress stands firmly with the journalists who are working impartially. We will fight against this government’s repression, we will win.”
