Reliance New Energy Solar Limited has signed a Letter of Intent with state government for investing Rs 1 lakh crore for generation of 20,000 MW solar plant in the state!

Jaipur: Reliance New Energy Solar Limited, a subsidiary of country’s largest corporate Reliance Industries Limited, has signed a Letter of Intent with state government for investing Rs 1 lakh crore for generation of 20,000 MW solar plant in the state.

This will be the largest investment in renewable sector in Rajasthan which is likely to come up across one lakh acres in five districts including Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Barmer, Jalore and Bikaner. The Letter of Intent was signed by company’s president Umesh Bhandari.

This was part of state government’s proposed investment summit - Invest Rajasthan - which has already attracted investment of more than Rs 7 lakh crore out of which around Rs 5 lakh crore are in the renewable sector.

CM Gehlot said that state government will facilitate the companies to realise their investment plans. Raj Govt signed MoUs/ LoIs with major players in Renewable Energy Sector capturing investment of Rs 3.05 lakh crore under Invest Raj Campaign.

With this investment, more than 90,000 MW of renewable energy will be produced in state. MoU and LOI signed between investors and State Govt were exchanged in programme addressed by CM Gehlot.
