Water filling for gate testing at Nonera dam

Jaipur: Water is currently being filled in the Nonera Abra Dam on the Kali Sindh River in Kota’s Itawa for gate testing, a step towards realizing the ERCP project. This process has led to the closure of the Kota-Sheopur State Highway 70 and caused a 3-foot sheet of water to flow over the Dhibri culvert of Kali Sindh. The dam, which has a total filling capacity of 226.65 million cubic meters, is being filled to a level of 217 million cubic meters.
