Vivek Agnihotri taunts Ayan and Karan over their upcoming film, Brahmastra
Mumbai (Maharashtra): Vivek Agnihotri is currently basking in the success of his recent film, The Kashmir Files, a feat that not many have reached. However, the filmmaker manages to stay in the news not for the same but for his unabashed views on everything. He recently spoke about Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra and had some not so pleasant things to say about the director and Karan Johar as well.
While talking to a news portal, Vivek stated that the makers of Brahmastra do not even know the meaning of the name while they go on to talk about the Astra Verse. The filmmaker further claimed that he thinks Ayan Mukerji cannot even pronounce Brahmastra properly.
He further went on to add that he thinks Ayan is a great director and he thoroughly enjoyed ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. The Kashmir Files filmmaker further revealed that he is concerned about Ayan like a mother is concerned about her children
Further taking a jibe at Karan Johar, Vivek stated that even though Karan Johar talks about LGBTQIA+ activism, he still makes fun of it in his films.
Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra - Part One: Shiva is on the cusp of its release. The film has an ensemble cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and Amitabh Bachchan. Produced by the Dharma Productions, the film will be in theatres on September 9.
Meanwhile, Vivek Agnihotri is gearing up for his next film in the The Files series, ‘Delhi Files’.
