Villagers panic, leopard now kills cow in Gogunda
Gogunda (Uaipur): In the Gogunda of Udaipur, after several attacks by a leopard, forest department teams are actively searching for the leopard. Despite their efforts, the leopard remains at large. The first attack occurred on October 18, and since then, the leopard has killed people so far. On Sunday, the leopard’s movement was spotted near the Shivalik Dam in Vijay Bawdi, indicating that it is still active in the dense forests of Vijay Bawdi and Madarda. The leopard attacked a cow near the Shivalik Dam, causing panic among villagers. In response, locals quickly mobilized and attempted to surround leopard on the hill.
As part of a special operation, the number of teams involved in the leopard search has been increased, and additional trap cameras have been set up. The operation is being led by Jaipur’s CCF Wildlife, T. Mohan Raj. Gogunda SDM, Dr. Naresh Soni, stated that the search operation is ongoing, with 13 teams at panchayat level searching for the leopard, and 12 shooters have been assigned to capture the leopard.
On late Sunday night a man captured the movement of leopard on his mobile in Binol of Rajsamand.
