Vijay reveals experience of meeting Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan on the sets of The Godfather
Mumbai (Maharashtra): Vijay Deverakonda is one of the few gems of the Indian film industry that has an incredible self-made journey. He rose to fame slowly and eventually but now is a phenomenon that has the power to carry a film on his back. He will soon be seen in the theatres in his pan-India film, Liger. But an idol who has taken the country by storm also has his own idols that he looks up to. And he recently did get to meet them when he visited the sets of The Godfather.
Sharing his experience of meeting Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan, two biggest superstars of the Indian film industry, Vijay revealed what an incredible experience it was for him. He said, “Chiranjeevi sir has been someone I looked up to... Growing up my dad used to tell his story of how he came from nothing and became the megastar of Telugu cinema. So, I always enjoy interacting with him because we talk a lot about his journey and I love that bit about him... His rise is what's interesting to me. And, Salman sir, it was time first, I was meeting him. It was brief but I enjoyed seeing him and saying Hi.”
Currently, Vijay Deverakonda will soon grace the screens as an MMA player with a stuttering problem in Liger. The Dharma film helmed by Puri Jagannadh also stars Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishnan and Mike Tyson in pivotal roles. Liger will release in the theatres on August 25.
