UPSRTC chief goes on maternity leave

Lucknow: Additional Managing Director (AMD) of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), Sarneet Kaur Broca, a 2016 batch IAS officer, has gone on 6 months’ maternity leave. Broca is the wife of 2016 batch IAS officer Prathamesh Kumar, Special Secretary to Chief Minister. Earlier, she was of Madhya Pradesh cadre but after her marriage, the DOPT allotted her UP cadre under the same-cadre husband-wife policy. Broca’s 6 months’ maternity leave has been approved from May 1 to Oct 31. She gave up charge as AMD of UPSRTC after the leave was approved. Considered to be a very honest and hardworking officer, Broca has so far served 11 months as Additional MD, UPSRTC.
