Union Min inspects Khetri Copper Project, inaugurates Solar Plant
Jhunjhunu: Union Minister of Mines and Coal, G Kishan Reddy, visited Khetri on Thursday, where he inspected the Khetri Copper Project and inaugurated an 800 kV solar plant. He reviewed the Smelter and Concentrator Plants, and visited the Kolihan mine, site of a tragic accident six months ago.
Reddy emphasised the govt’s commitment to enhancing safety and operations with new technologies and boosting copper production for self-reliance. He also inaugurated a 15-lakh-rupee hall at Gothda PHC campus and planted saplings. Local leaders urged the revival of the HCL project, a major source of employment.
