Union Home Minister Amit Shah extends greetings on Hyderabad Liberation Day
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended greetings on the occasion of Hyderabad Liberation Day on Tuesday. He paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel saying that the Hyderabad Mukti Sangram will always be cited as a glorious manifestation of patriotism, where people led an uprising against the tyrant Nizam and endured immense pains to unite with India.
"On #HyderabadLiberationDay, I extend my greetings to the people of the erstwhile Hyderabad region, comprising Telangana, Karnataka, and Marathwada. The Hyderabad Mukti Sangram will always be cited as a glorious manifestation of patriotism, where people led an uprising against the tyrant Nizam and endured immense pains to unite with India. My solemn homage to the martyrs of the movement," the Union Home Minister posted on X.
Paying tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Union Minister JP Nadda said, "My heartfelt greetings to the people of the erstwhile Hyderabad region, comprising Telangana, Karnataka, and Marathwada on the occasion of #HyderabadLiberationDay. Today, we pay homage to the brave souls who fought to free Hyderabad from Nizam's oppressive rule and ensured it remained an integral part of Bharat. This day is a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's unwavering commitment to uniting India and his significant role in liberating Hyderabad."
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, "Greetings to the people of Telangana, Hyderabad-Karnataka and Marathwada region on the occasion of #HyderabadLiberationDay. This day marks a significant milestone in our nation's history, commemorating the valiant struggle and sacrifice of those who fought for the liberation of the region from the atrocities of the Nizam and the Razakars and its merger with the Indian Union. The courage and sacrifice of our martyrs will forever remain an inspiration for the current and future generations."
Earlier in the day, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy hoisted the national flag at the BJP State Office in Nampally, Hyderabad.
"On the occasion of Hyderabad Liberation Day, we honour the sacrifices of those who sacrificed & fought tirelessly to secure our freedom from the tyrannical rule of the Nizam and Razakars, and to bring the region into the fold of a unified India. As we commemorate this historic day, let us continue to work together towards progress, unity, and prosperity for all. Wishing everyone a proud and memorable Hyderabad Liberation Day!"
