Ukraine-returned Jajmau student narrates ordeal

Kanpur: Another student from the city after returning from Ukraine narrated the situation in Ukraine. Resident of Jajmau, Yasmin Fatima reached Kanpur last night and got emotional on meeting her parents at Lucknow airport.

She said at the VN Kargil Medical College in Kharkiv, where she was studying, lot of damage was caused by Russian bombs. Medical students of Kanpur have lost contact with their parents since Tuesday night after the towers were destroyed in the Russian attack leaving parents of all the students stuck in Ukraine severly upset.

Yasmin Fatima and Shivani’s parents are worried. Yasmin’s father Dr Naseem Ahmed said last night children of Kanpur had reached Kyiv from Kharkiv.

Everyone was supposed to reach Labib, Romania by train but now there is no contact. A letter has been mailed to the Government of India in the morning itself.

Yasmin said after remaing stuck in Khariv for five days she reached Romania through Kyiv and then arrived in Mumbai from where the UP government made arrangements to bring her to Lucknow
