TROLLED! Vijay trolled by netizens after he meets the theatre owner who previously trashed him; calls it “too much drama”

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Vijay Deverakonda recently got a lot of hatred for his comments on the boycott trend. As he said “Dekh Lenge”, people found him to be too arrogant for the movies. This hatred added to the already poor film, Liger and thus resulted in a massive failure at the box office. The actor was even trashed by Gaiety Galaxy and Maratha Mandir Cinema’s executive director, Manoj Desai who called the actor “arrogant” and referred to him as “anaconda”. But recently, Vijay made efforts to meet him in person and apologise for hurting his sentiments. He flew down to Mumbai just for the meeting and cleared all the misunderstandings with him. He cleared that his words were blown out of proportion and he loves his audience so much that he actively participated in the promotions across the nation despite his broken back.

While many praised the actor for facing the situation and clearing out the bad blood, several netizens were not impressed and thought it to be a fake set-up. A troll even wrote, “This is like too much drama”, while another commented, “You cannot please everyone.” The Dear Comrade actor has been constantly getting trolled on the internet no matter what the intentions of his moves are. He has been under fire recently for dismissing the boycott trend and claiming that the people who do not want to watch his film, Liger can choose to not watch it. He also said that he will take care of the people who try to ban his film.

Meanwhile, Manoj Desai was so impressed by Vijay’s gestures that he apologised to the actor for his previously spoken harsh words and showered heaps of praise on him in a new video. He said, “He (Vijay) is a really very nice guy, down to earth, I will keep loving him always. He has got a bright future and I promise hereby, I will take all his pictures. I wish him all the best. When I met Vijay, I realised he thinks about the entire team of his films. I’ve only said sorry to 2 actors - Amitabh Bachchan & now Vijay Deverakonda.”

Liger is Vijay Deverakonda’s first pan-India film which also stars Ramya Krishnan, Ananya Panday and Mike Tyson. The film, helmed by Puri Jagannadh is produced by Dharma Productions. Although there was a lot of hype around the film considering Vijay’s massive fan following all around, the film did not fare well at the box office and did receive good public and critic reviews as well.
