Tripura: BJP MLA campaigns for "Gaon Chalo Abhiyan" in Kamalasagar constituency
Agartala: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Antara Sarkar Deb campaigned for the "Gaon Chalo Abhiyan" (Go to villages) in Kamalasagar Constituency of Sipahijala district on Friday.
The main aim of the Abhiyan was to reach every person in the village, discuss with them various schemes of government, and solve their various problems.
During the campaign, Sarkar engaged with residents, discussing various government schemes and addressing individual concerns.
"In response to the call of our PM, Narendra Modi, I initiated the Gaon Chalo Abhiyan (Go to villages) campaign in a booth of my constituency today. The Abhiyan started on February 4 and will continue till February 11," Antara Sarkar, MLA of Kamalasagar Constituency, said.
"A lot of people have gathered here. I have discussed this with all the beneficiaries and have assured the ones left that they will also get benefits from all the government schemes soon," she added.
Laxmi Debbarma, a resident, expressed gratitude, stating that Antara Sarkar promised that she would solve all her problems.
"I haven't received any assistance from earlier governments. However, today, our MLA, Mrs. Antara Sarkar, promised that she would solve all my problems as early as possible," Laxmi Debbarma, a resident of Kamalasagar, said.
Arundhuti Sarkar, another resident, highlighted the promise made by the MLA.
"Though I received a house under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY), I haven't received any old-age allowance. However, today, our MLA has promised to provide me with the same in the Gaon Chalo Abhiyan gathering," Arundhuti Sarkar said.
Geeta Debbarma shared her satisfaction with attending the gathering, expressing confidence in Sarkar's commitment.
"I am happy to attend the Gaon Chalo Abhiyan in Kamalasagar Constituency under the leadership of MLA Antara Sarkar, where she promised that she would give me all the government facilities and services," Geeta Debbarma, a resident, said.
The campaign, aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call, commenced on February 4th and is set to continue until February 11th.
