Top Court victory for SK Mishra

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday allowed ED director Sanjay Kumar Mishra to continue till September 15 for the ongoing Financial Action Task Force (FATF) review exercise “in national interest”. The SC had earlier set July 31 deadline for current ED chief’s tenure. However, SC made it clear that no further extension would be granted to Mishra under any circumstance. “Mishra shall cease to be director of ED from midnight of Sept 15-16,” said a three-judge bench.
