Top Court allows ASI survey of Gyanvapi mosque complex...
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday allowed non-invasive ASI survey of Gyanvapi mosque after the survey agency through solicitor general Tushar Mehta assured there will be no excavation or damage to even a brick of the mosque’s wall or structure.
‘Rejecting the Gyanvapi mosque management committee’s appeal against the Allahabad high court order, the SC bench led by CJI DY Chandrachud said, “We direct entire survey to be carried out through noninvasive method.” The SC also did not accede to the request of mosque committee to keep ASI’s final report in sealed cover.
